With more than 10 years legal experience Valerie has a passion for helping people and is dedicated to achieving the best results for her clients. She began her practice in the Caribbean before moving to Ontario Canada where she was called to the Bar. Whilst working in the Caribbean she worked as a sole practitioner and then worked with the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis where she acted as counsel representing the Government in many complex cases.
Valerie has also spent close to six years in the United Kingdom where she completed a Masters Degree in International Business Law and a PhD in International Law. Her work experience is not limited to the practice of law as she has also taught law at the University of Manchester and at Ryerson University. She has published articles and book reviews in several journals including the Journal of International Trade Law and Policy and the Journal of Common Market Studies. Her diverse experiences as a lawyer and law teacher allow Valerie to approach her law practice from a broad perspective which adds to the quality of service she can provide to her clients.
Valerie has an avid interest in human rights issues and she has volunteered at the Ontario Human Rights Legal Support Centre, the Canadian Centre for International Justice. Valerie currently practices in the areas of family law, real estate and wills and estate.
